Four Habitats Information
Marsh - Marshes are generally characterized by very slow-moving waters and are adjacent to rivers, lakes, or oceans. Typically, a marsh features grasses, rushes, reeds, sedges, and other herbaceous plants (possibly with low-growing woody plants) in a context of shallow water.
Creek - A stream or narrow river that provides for aquatic plants and animals and acts as a channel connecting other bodies of water.
Field - This habitat type is dominated by open fields. These can be farming fields that are plowed and cultivated for crops or pasture, or naturally growing grasses, sedges, and wildflowers with little to no shrubs and trees.
Forest - An area that is covered with mature trees.
Habitat - the natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism
Diversity of Life - is the variety of life on earth. This includes all the different plants, animals, and microorganisms that make up a particular habitat.
Ecosystem - a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment. For instance, the ecosystem for Windsor Castle Park is made up of the four habitats: marsh, creek, field, and forest
