Smooth CordgrassSmooth cordgrass is one of several types of marsh grasses in the park. It tolerates the brackish waters well and so is found closest to the water. Their dense root arrangement helps to stabilize the soft marsh soil. They provide a good hiding place for small fish at high tide.
